The scripture I have been reading about is being offended.
Mat 18:7 “Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
I have noticed that some things have been getting under my skin when it comes to dealing with some people I know. This starting happening when I started hang around the wrong people. 1Co 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” 1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? I started to notice i was getting offend easily and the next thing I know I was angry and we where arguing with each other and they would end up saying bad words and next thing I know i’m talking like them saying the same mess that i didn’t need to say. Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Instead of walking in love we where tearing each other down. So many times I would have to go to God and ask God to forgive me. I have learned that there are some people that you just can’t hang around because there bad habits will cause you to sin in the long run. The people that i was hanging around with say they are Christians but there actions don’t line up with the Word of God. Mat 7:20 “Therefore by their fruits you will know them. we would talk about the bible and they would tell me that they don’t want to hear about it but clam to be a christian. So I have had to make a hard decision to not go around these people anymore. 2Co 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 2Co 6:15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? Being that i have decided to have less to do with them i have noticed that things seem better. I don’t have to hear all the negative words and ungodly comments and I have learned that having peace is better than having bad friends.
1Pe 3:11 Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.
Mat 22:39 “And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself
Mat 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
Psa 4:4 Be angry, and do not sin.
Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
Eph 4:26“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
Lev 19:18 ‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.
